Full-Time Warehouse (Grand Prairie, TX)
About The Position
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Distribution Operations Exceptions Specialist to support daily warehouse operations by managing and resolving shipment and inventory exceptions. This role is responsible for investigating issues such as damages, shortages, overages, misroutes, and invoicing discrepancies for inbound and outbound freight. The Specialist will work cross-functionally with Receiving, Shipping, Inventory Control, Customer Service, and Carriers to ensure timely and accurate issue resolution, while also supporting continuous improvement (CI) initiatives and providing hands-on operational support when needed. We provide a scheduled posting end date to assist our candidates with their application planning. Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in distribution, warehouse operations, logistics, or inventory control.
- Familiarity with WMS/ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret BOLs, POs, and freight documents.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a warehouse environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with carrier claims and freight exception management.
- Lean/CI exposure (5S, standard work, root cause identification).

Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve shipment exceptions including damage, shortage, overage, mispick, and billing/invoicing discrepancies.
- Research issues using WMS/TMS data, carrier documentation, POs, and BOLs.
- Process and track carrier claims, credits, and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate exceptions log and provide weekly reporting on trends, root causes, and impact.
- Support continuous improvement (CI) initiatives, including 5S, process updates, and SOP improvements.
- Assist with warehouse tasks such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, putaway, and cycle counting during peak periods.
- Operate material handling equipment (MHE) as certified.
- Collaborate with teams to reduce recurring exceptions and improve operational accuracy.
