The Distribution Operations Engineering team ensures the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the electric distribution system. The team supports engineering analysis, asset data management, system modeling, operational readiness, grid modernization initiatives, and continuous improvement across distribution operations. The Distribution Operations Engineering Intern will support system operations engineers by performing data analysis, documentation, modeling, reporting, and project support activities. This role is ideal for students pursuing engineering degrees who want hands‑on experience working with utility systems, asset data, distribution equipment, GIS/SAP systems, and operational processes. The intern will work closely with engineers, supervisors, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve data accuracy, support operational initiatives, and help deliver technical insights that enhance system reliability and operational performance. PG&E is providing the hourly rate range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual hourly rate paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
