About The Position

Shape Safety with Viking For more than a century, Viking has advanced fire protection technology to safeguard people and property worldwide. Innovation, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to safety guide everything we do. If you’re seeking meaningful work where ideas are welcomed and growth is encouraged, join us. A Day in This Role You’ll keep a busy distribution operation running smoothly in support of critical fire protection products. Your day starts with safety and equipment checks, then shifts into coordinated warehouse activity—picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and customer-facing will-call. Conduct daily inspections on lift equipment and operate a forklift to pick orders, receive stock, and load/unload pipe and materials from flatbed and box trailers. Pick orders using RF scanners or paper tickets by bin location, part number, and item description. Use the JDE operating system to perform shipping and receiving inquiries and maintain accuracy. Move and lift boxes to and from designated locations to support shipping and receiving workflows. Verify that the items pulled during picking are correct before packing; ensure all materials are packed properly. Leverage the Varsity system to process shipments accurately. Prepare outbound materials by operating a shrink-wrap machine for crates and boxes and a pneumatic bander for pipe bundles when needed. Follow SOPs, wear all required PPE, complete required training (including safety), and uphold company policies and procedures. Provide excellent customer service and maintain professionalism with customers and coworkers, including will-call interactions. Take on additional tasks as assigned by the warehouse lead, warehouse manager, or branch operations manager.
