About The Position

We are seeking a Distribution Operations Associate to support end-to-end content distribution workflows across video, metadata, and creative assets. You will set up and manage distribution configurations, ensure metadata syntax integrity, monitor and maintain ongoing media availability, and manage operations of Roku’s library across third-party platforms. You’ll collaborate closely with Content Operations, Engineering, and Analytics teams. You’ll also engage with external distribution partners to optimize delivery, quality, and performance. Preparation and interpretation of analytics reports to inform operational decisions, improve content availability will also be important.

Requirements

  • 2–4+ years in content distribution, digital media operations, or related OTT/AVOD/SVOD experience
  • Working knowledge of content delivery workflows and technologies: CMS, MRSS/JSON/XML feeds, EPGs, APIs, CDN concepts, DRM basics, and asset management
  • Strong metadata proficiency: schema design, validation, syntax rules, taxonomy, rights/availability modeling, and localization fields
  • Familiarity with creative asset specs and pipelines: images, thumbnails, key art, promotional placements, and quality standards
  • Experience with QC and troubleshooting across ingest, transcoding, publishing, and playback
  • Proficiency with analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Looker/Tableau, Excel/Sheets)
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills; comfortable working with Engineering, Analytics, and external partners
  • Detail-oriented, process-driven, and adept at multitasking within fast-paced environments

  • Experience with OTT ad-supported content, rights/avails systems, or workflow automation

Responsibilities

  • Own distribution setup, configuration, and validation for video, metadata, and creative deliverables across internal and 3rd party platforms
  • Author, review, and map metadata syntax standards (titles, episodic availability windows, rights, genres, ratings, language/localization, images, and promotional copy)
  • Coordinate ingestion and delivery pipelines, both internal and 3rd party tooling, including packaging profiles, transport mechanisms, QC, and publishing schedules
  • Monitor media availability and integrity in 3rd party platforms; troubleshoot failures, resolve discrepancies, and drive timely fixes
  • Maintain operational accuracy of the content library (catalog updates, takedowns, expirations, exceptions, reinstates)
  • Partner with Engineering on tooling requirements, workflow automation, and integration improvements (CMS, APIs, feeds, and validation)
  • Collaborate with Content Ops on calendars, launch readiness, change management, and asset readiness across markets
  • Engage with distribution partners to optimize delivery, reduce errors, and improve timeliness and quality (e.g., feed standards, asset specs, delivery SLAs)
  • Prepare and analyze operational and performance reports; identify trends and drive actions that improve availability, compliance, and engagement
  • Document processes, contribute to SOPs and best practices
