The Distribution Manager at Clorox is responsible for overseeing distribution operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of high-quality products. This role emphasizes safety, cost reduction, and service improvement while managing a team and collaborating with various departments to achieve operational goals.

  • Provide leadership to highlight safety as the most important aspect of operations and deliver related programs and initiatives.
  • Coach and develop team members through performance management processes and drive skill block progression.
  • Drive Journey Map priorities for the department and plant.
  • Lower logistics costs through the implementation of world-class processes and controls.
  • Improve service by increasing On Time Delivery (OTD) levels and lowering Overages, Shortages, & Damage (OS&D) levels.
  • Lead all distribution center employees through coaching and development.
  • Leverage WCO tools and processes to identify and drive improvements and loss reductions.
  • Maintain supplier of choice status for the Aberdeen Plant by managing dwell times and enhancing driver interactions.
  • Own plant distribution inventory metrics and ensure compliance with internal controls.
  • Manage yard and shuttle contractor relationships between site operations and Regional Distribution Center.
  • Oversee plant scheduling, including weekly reviews, forecasting, schedule attainment, and capacity planning.
  • Develop strategic plans for efficient and cost-effective distribution operations.
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to understand service and efficiency trends and document results through reporting.
  • Analyze cost performance data to identify areas of opportunity and validate effectiveness.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to eliminate root causes of customer supply chain inefficiencies.
  • Develop and execute a balanced plan of interaction with plant operations and distribution activities.
  • Maintain partnership with Security for yard view and trailer inspections.
  • Partner with Packaging and Palletizing operations to ensure high customer service levels.
  • 3 years of logistics or manufacturing experience in managing a team
  • Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain is preferred
  • Experience with production/inventory control systems
  • Experience with SAP applications
  • Strong leadership and ability to effectively influence
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
