About The Position

As a Distribution Lead, you will sort and organize completed prescriptions and prepare product for shipment. Tarrytown Expocare Pharmacy – We are a long-term care pharmacy that provides specialized care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout the United States. Requirements

Great Career Opportunity in Long-Term Care Pharmacy!
Ability to multi-task and work with other members of the shipping and distribution team as well as Pharmacists and Technicians
Understanding of basic production processes for packaging and shipping
Ability to develop continuous improvements in the shipping department
Basic understanding of, or the ability to learn, locations and organizational structure of the company
Ability to correctly sort and distribute large amounts of medications
Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
Ability to complete projects in a timely manner
Ability to work with little oversight and/or guidance
Must be able to speak and write English
Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, pulling, speaking, listening
Must be able to occasionally lift bulk packaging weighing up to 40 pounds
Must be able to traverse close quarters easily

Nice To Haves

Pharmacy Technician Trainee License preferred but not required
FedEx Shipping / Overnight Shipping Experience is a Plus
Experience working in a Commercial Pharmacy is a Plus

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day delivery operations, including routing, courier performance, and overall logistics within the region.
Monitor delivery service levels, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective actions to enhance timeliness, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Provide regular operational updates and performance insights to the Northeast Distribution Supervisor.
Sort and organize completed prescriptions while ensuring compliance with all handling and documentation procedures.
Utilize pharmacy operating systems, dispatching, and routing software, along with handheld scanners to track and capture delivery data.
Prepare and stage packages for delivery by printing packing lists, verifying accuracy, and performing additional duties as assigned.
