POSITION SUMMARY The lead person is responsible for coordinating and overseeing department activities and functions in order to perform shipping, receiving and inventory functions. The lead person ensures processes are being followed according to standards and schedule. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED )
  • 4 plus years of experience working in a distribution center
  • SAP Knowledge preferred
  • English language proficiency due to required communication to company and customers outside of the Nevada distribution center
  • Experience training other individuals on job duties
  • Certified for operating material handling equipment
  • Certified to work at heights
  • Basic math and computer skills to perform distribution functions
  • Knowledge of Safety and Health policies and promote s a safe and positive work culture
  • Continuous improvement knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Maintain constant communication with the supervisor to coordinate work assignments to meet customer demands and shipping schedules
  • Assist employees by solving problems, answering questions, reviewing quality, and training employees
  • Responsible for shipping, receiving and inventory
  • Assists in the coordination of truck arrivals and dock assignments
  • Create and review productivity reports
  • Drive continuous process improvement
  • Drives inventory accuracy
  • Operation of material handling equipment
  • Adheres to company policies, procedures and safety standards and maintains a clean work environment
  • Other duties as assigned by Leadership
