  • Promote a safe and productive work environment.
  • Create teamwork amongst your shift and across shift lines.
  • Lead by example and take initiative to improve processes.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings and ensure group stretching.
  • Analyze head count for workload and make necessary changes.
  • Monitor doors and follow inbound and outbound procedures.
  • Work closely with office staff to ensure consistent workflow.
  • Monitor pallet truck deliveries and ensure timely unloading and reloading.
  • Verify Hot List loads according to the Hot List Procedure.
  • Monitor the floor for safety concerns and act appropriately.
  • Operate a forklift safely and productively.
  • Assist operators and perform daily tasks when not leading.
  • Ensure warehouse organization, cleanliness, and proper handling of damages.
  • Back up the supervisor in their absence.
  • Train and progressively train forklift operators.
  • Promote teamwork through positive communication.
  • Adhere to safe work practices and maintain sanitary conditions.
  • Report any conditions affecting food safety, quality, or personnel safety.
  • Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality of MFI products.
  • A minimum of six months experience in a palletized warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Strong Leadership and Inter-Personal skills are required.
  • Successful completion of a Powered Industrial Truck training program is required.
  • Ability to use standard office technology such as a computer, copier/fax machine, and phone system.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to effectively read, write and speak English.
  • Strong math and configuration skills are necessary.
  • Ability to analyze situations and make beneficial decisions for the company and employees.
  • All distribution operators will be provided with MFI approved P.I.T. training/certification at the start of employment.
