POSITION IDENTIFICATION Position Title: Distribution Handler (Entry Level) Department: Shipping JOB OVERVIEW: We are seeking a dedicated and detailed-oriented individual to join our manufacturing company as a distribution handler. Responsible for helping with loading trailers into trucks for shipping.

Requirements

• Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques involved in the effective manufacture of goods a plus.
• Ability to use and read a tape measure is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to properly identify and compile information to effectively make decisions and set priorities.
• Walking, standing, kneeling, bending are required up to 90% of the workday
• Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50-70 pounds, up to 20% of the workday
• Must have reliable transportation and the ability to be at work on time.

Responsibilities

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to understand diagrams for how trailers will be stacked for shipment.
• Strong communication skills to communicate with forklift drivers as trailers are stacked.
• Follow orders, and complete tasks as assigned by supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
• Follow prescribed procedures and guidelines.
• Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
• Follow all company rules and policies.
• Follow all safety rules and quality standards.
• Uphold all OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
