The mission of the North America VS&A Distribution Finance department is to add value to our sales and operations teams by providing relevant, data-driven information to our business partners so they can confidently make better decisions faster. We engage with our customers, our channel partners and our sales, services, pricing, legal, engineering, business planning, supply chain and accounting teams. This role will be on a hybrid schedule based out of our Chicago office, applicants should expect to be in office several times per month You will be the finance partner for a Vice President of Strategic accounts responsible for growing Motorola Solutions Video Security & Analytics portfolio across North America.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 4+ years of work experience in Finance or Accounting
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
  • Financial and business support experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required
  • Good understanding of revenue recognition principles
  • Exposure to Oracle, SAP, and/or other accounting systems
  • Exposure to CRM Tools (Salesforce)
  • Tableau dashboard reporting and/or Alteryx experience
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets modeling skills.
  • Familiarity with building financial models and manipulating large datasets to help the company make strategic recommendations
  • Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Superb communication skills and the ability to work directly with management
  • Ability to work collaboratively to drive cross-functional execution on business goals
  • Elevated pride of ownership in work product

Responsibilities

  • Advising on deal strategy
  • Pro forma income statement analysis for potential deals
  • Negotiating both statements of work and contract terms and conditions with customers, facilitating timely collection of accounts receivable, forecasting monthly orders, revenue, and monitoring and improving internal controls
