Requirements

• Familiarity with common computer software including MS Office Suite and CAD drafting systems.
• Experience in design or line construction in a utility environment.
• Familiarity with GIS systems and basic data structures preferred.
• High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Collect facilities field data for updating records or preparing design documents.
• Assist in data collection, measurement, mapping, and field photography.
• Conduct equipment or unit inventory and staking as directed by senior technical or engineering employees.
• Adhere to Pike Engineering's Core Values and safety practices.
• Accurately gather field data using various tools and formats specified by project managers.
• Identify items to be documented in the field with minimal supervision.
• Learn and apply technology tools such as data collection units and GPS receivers.
• Record measurements and dimensions accurately according to project specifications.
• Assist in power restoration efforts during natural disasters if required.
• Meet production targets and understand project deliverables and milestones.
• Participate in overnight travel as needed.
