About The Position

The Deputy Commander for DLA Distribution Pearl Harbor, HI, is responsible for managing distribution and related functions within the Defense Distribution Center. This role involves planning, organizing, and directing storage and distribution functions to support customers, ensuring that all necessary resources are identified and coordinated effectively. The position requires oversight of functional specialists and the ability to provide guidance and assign work based on priorities and employee capabilities.

Requirements

• One year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent in related fields.
• Experience in coordination and integration of multiple projects and programs.
• Ability to identify and integrate significant internal and external programs and policy issues.
• Experience in developing, revising, and implementing goals, objectives, plans, and schedules.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in federal service or military logistics operations.
• Knowledge of safety and security protocols in distribution environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Deputy Commander for DLA Distribution Pearl Harbor, HI.
• Manage distribution and all related functions performed within the Defense Distribution Center.
• Plan, organize, and direct storage and distribution functions in support of customers.
• Identify specific requirements for funding, manpower, materials, facilities, safety, security, and services needed to support distribution programs.
• Coordinate and evaluate the efforts of functional specialists to identify specific requirements and develop plans and schedules.
• Ensure support is provided to the Material Processing Center (MPC) and Theater Consolidation and Shipment Point (TCSP).
• Provide guidance and assign work to subordinates based on priorities and employee capabilities.
