CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking two Distribution Engineers to join our Electric Distribution Team in Knoxville, TN where you will play a key role in building smarter, more resilient energy systems. What You'll Do: Assist in the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for electric distribution infrastructure including overhead and underground systems Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports, contract documents, and cost estimates for grid resiliency and energy transition projects Perform calculations and design tasks using industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and best practices for optimizing energy delivery Join field assignments with senior staff to gain hands-on experience in assessment, planning, and rehabilitation of electric distribution systems
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering required
- No experience required; however prior internships and/or relevant coursework are preferred
- Strong theoretical foundation and familiarity with engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team
Nice To Haves
- Participation in professional engineering society/organization preferred
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification a plus
Responsibilities
