The position involves providing detailed engineering, design, and planning assessments and recommendations. The candidate will evaluate system operations and develop project scopes for overhead and underground utility systems. Responsibilities include evaluating electrical power systems and designing replacements according to utility standards, as well as developing and modifying accurate estimates and engineering drawings using BlueBeam, AutoCAD, and/or GIS software. The role requires regular meetings with managers, engineers, and colleagues to review project statuses and determine appropriate communication strategies. Site visits are necessary to assess existing utility conditions and gather information for each project. The candidate will also coordinate right-of-way acquisition, planning, and design functions through regular project updates to ensure schedule adherence and work forecasting. The position requires a minimum of 40 hours of work per week, with possible overtime, and includes additional duties as assigned.
