Distribution Driver (Full Time, Flexible Schedule)

For the Distribution Driver, this means representing Adams with professionalism while transporting goods between stores. You are responsible for ensuring timely deliveries and pickups, maintaining accurate records, and fostering strong relationships to support the stores’ commitment to quality and community.
Requirements
- Knowledge of Pick-up and delivery standards from store to store
- General knowledge of basic mechanics of light duty trucks
- Great communication between all stores, managers and direct people of contact for the day
- Willingness to work collaboratively and communicate with a team of co-workers and managers
- Exhibit enthusiasm, positivity and/or knowledge about Adams’ products and quality
- Ability to demonstrate and set the example for Adams’ culture and values
- Must be at least 21 years old along with following Adams rules and driving policies
- Consistently move, adjust, and position items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Be alert and tentative when needed
- Make a flexible schedule for all deliveries for the week (must maintain consistent availability to work Sundays)
- Safely use any tools necessary; U-Boat, pallet jack, forklift, etc.
- Occasionally ascend/descend a stepstool, stepladder, and/or ladder
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers for duration of shift
- Communicate with others to exchange information
- Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks including in tight and confined spaces
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions and temperatures
Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver refrigerated products as needed, ensuring items are transported in good condition.
- Coordinate deliveries with managers in Mozzarella, Pasta, Grocery and Cheese departments, as well as store managers.
- Maintain regular communication with managers.
- Maintain valid drivers license, forklift certification, good driving record, and pass all required drug tests.
- Represent Adams professionally by being personable and friendly to customers, vendors, and fellow employees.
