About The Position

We are currently seeking a reliable Box Truck Driver to join our team. Central Aluminum is part of the Installed Building Products (IBP) family of companies. Central Aluminum is a full-service wholesale Rain ware manufacturer and distributor servicing the commercial and residential seamless gutter industries. Located in Trenton, New Jersey, Paterson, New Jersey, Landisville, Pennsylvania and Charlotte. We deliver to New Jersey, Maryland, New York, Delaware, Northern Virginia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Requirements

• Previous experience as a box truck or delivery driver.
• Knowledge of local traffic laws and routes.
• Excellent driving skills and a strong commitment to safety.
• Ability to handle physical demands of loading and unloading goods.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Basic math skills for verifying order quantities and handling cash transactions.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in completing delivery paperwork.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Flexible schedule with the willingness to work occasional weekends or overtime.

Responsibilities

• Safely maneuver a 26' box truck to efficiently transport goods and products to designated locations.
• Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Load and unload merchandise from the truck using appropriate equipment and techniques.
• Verify and confirm the accuracy of delivery orders with customers.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the vehicle.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery receipts.
• Communicate with the dispatch team and customers to provide updates on delivery status.
• Handle any customer inquiries or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding delivery schedules and protocols.
