About The Position

The Distribution Control Specialist & Store Assistant position at Hallmark Cards involves working primarily in the Distribution Center while also assisting in the retail store. The position requires a blend of warehouse duties and customer service support, contributing to the overall shopping experience at Halls in Crown Center.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to bend, stoop, push, and pull carts

Responsibilities

  • Auditing receiving memos against invoices or packing slips.
  • Updating the inventory system to accurately add new receipts into inventory.
  • Generating price tickets for new merchandise.
  • Investigating and helping resolve receipt discrepancies.
  • Checking in new merchandise.
  • Putting price tickets on new merchandise.
  • Assisting with daily housekeeping tasks.
  • Cross-training in other distribution center areas such as receiving dock, shipping, supplies, and warehouse functions.
  • Helping with stock work and price changes/mark downs.
  • Moving sales fixtures as needed.
  • Bringing supplies to the sales floor.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
