About The Position

The Sales Project Manager for the Waterworks Division at Ferguson is responsible for providing administrative project support for water and wastewater treatment plants in the Central Texas region. This role involves managing project scope, specifications, and requirements, monitoring project progress, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring timely delivery of products and services. The position offers a flexible, office-based work environment that promotes work-life balance while allowing the individual to leverage their expertise in construction and waterworks projects.

Requirements

  • Prior experience with construction industry products, including general construction, wastewater, or waterworks equipment.
  • 2+ years of experience in Construction Project Management or Project Coordinator roles.
  • 2+ years of Waterworks experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with digital takeoff and estimating software such as PlanSwift or Bid Tracer is highly preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in industrial or commercial plumbing is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of a project, from start to finish, ensuring completion on time and within budget.
  • Recommend products and services that align with clients' business needs.
  • Execute projects according to the organization's project management methodology and established project plans.
  • Establish and maintain effective sales relationships with major accounts/customers.
  • Provide high-level customer service by answering branch phone calls.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure integration into the project and timely delivery of products.
  • Supervise project progress and performance, resolving operational problems to minimize delays.
  • Work with partners and clients to determine project scope, specifications, and requirements.
  • Conduct project meetings and prepare regular status reports for the project team and stakeholders.
  • Allocate resources and assign tasks to meet project targets.
  • Assist program/project managers to ensure projects are executed according to plan.
