Republic, a nationally recognized, third generation enterprise headquartered in the Quad Cities has an immediate opening for a full-time Transfer Driver at our Davenport Distribution Center. Republic is one of the largest independent distributors of electrical, heating, air conditioning, energy management, refrigeration and sign support products in the entire Midwest. In addition to the headquarters in Davenport, IA, Republic has 9 locations located in Iowa, Illinois, Missouri & Wisconsin. Our Transfer Driver position supports internal transfers to our branch locations and is critical to our company’s overall success by ensuring customers needs are met in a timely manner. Your typical responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Role & Responsibility Transfer Driver route hours for this position are 11:00 am – 8:00 p.m. Run a transfer route from our distribution center to delivery equipment and parts to our branch locations. This will include loading and unloading your truck, following an assigned delivery schedule, and contacting branch managers to confirm delivery if there are delays, etc Transporting equipment and parts in the safest manner possible and avoiding damage at all costs using load securement practices and procedures. Following safe driving practices, rules of the road and all DOT compliance measures to ensure safe transport and return. Utilizes apps required for transfer deliver, vehicle inspections, or delivery confirmation such as Fleetio, Zonar, Infor POD, etc. Completes all pre and post trip inspections. Reports any damage or maintenance required to the fleet manager. Completing or assisting with receiving paperwork and transfer paperwork as required We're one big team and this position is a driving position, however there may be a unique situation that requires your help in the warehouse from time to time. There may be other things that come up so additional duties may be assigned as needed.
