Position Summary As the Distribution Center Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of 20+ non-exempt employees in CVS Health’s state of the art distribution facility. This includes planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and supervising the daily activities of an assigned shift and functional area to achieve performance goals and metrics within the distribution center. Additionally, you will be responsible for order selection, replenishment, loading, and shipping of store orders. You are also responsible for maintaining a high level of productivity and quality. Additional responsibilities include: Schedule and assign work to employees. Provide the necessary equipment, materials, and documents to ensure successful completion of tasks Determine proper staffing levels within the functional area based on the volume and type of work to be completed daily Maintain a balanced workload by taking readings throughout the day, and by readjusting the staffing levels, as necessary, to achieve the appropriate level of volume by the projected time of completion Monitor the work performance of each employee to ensure that quality and quantity expectations are met or exceeded. Provide ongoing training/retraining of employees to ensure that they are prepared to meet or exceed the productivity standards for their function Possess the ability to utilize a variety of reports, summaries, and procedures to project workload and resolve problems that arise during the workday Administer policies/procedures in a fair and consistent manner. Professionally address issues with employees utilizing the proper resources Hiring, on-boarding, training, scheduling, and assigning work to new hires Providing ongoing training and retraining of employees to ensure that they are prepared to meet or exceed the productivity standards for their function Communicate effectively across all levels Build high-performance teams while engaging and inspiring colleagues Champion Safety by maintaining a safe and clean work environment The Supervisor will start their shift at 4pm, working until 3:30am at the Houston location. Saturday's if necessary.
