Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 6+ years previous experience, preferably in a distribution center environment.
  • Excellent leadership ability with a focus on customer service and teamwork.
  • Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical with the ability to plan staffing levels to work flow.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools such as ERP systems, WMS, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the packing, loading, and shipping processes to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time. Monitors workflow to optimize efficiency.
  • Ensures that the department is compliant with company operations, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitors inventory levels, conducts regular audits, and coordinates with other departments to ensure accurate inventory counts and availability.
  • Leads a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards along with meeting productivity requirements.
  • Ensures orders are packed correctly, shipments are accurately labeled, and products are handled with care to prevent damage during transit.
  • Enforces safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for employees and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identifies inefficiencies in outbound processes and recommend improvements to streamline operations.
  • Maintains accurate records of outbound shipments, tracking performance metrics, and prepares reports for management review.
  • Maintains open communication with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs and resolve any issues.
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
