We are looking for an Outbound Manager to join our team in our state-of-the-art distribution center. The Distribution Center Outbound Manager is responsible for directing the daily outbound operations of the shipping/loading department within a distribution center.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree preferred.
6+ years’ previous management experience, preferably in a distribution center environment.
Excellent leadership ability with a focus on customer service and teamwork.
Strong computer skills with previous experience working with TMS and WMS.
Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Analytical with the ability to plan staffing levels to workflow.

Responsibilities

Oversees picking, loading, and shipping to ensure accuracy and timely delivery; continuously monitors workflow for optimization.
Utilizes TMS to create outbound loads in preparation for items being picked.
Utilizes WMS to create wave releases of items to be picked by warehouse associates.
Effectively execute order demands, replenishment demands and branch replenishments through warehouse transfers systematically.
Leads a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards along with meeting productivity requirements.
Ensures orders are picked and sorted correctly, shipments are accurately labeled, and products are loaded and secured to prevent damage during transit.
Enforces safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for employees and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Identifies inefficiencies in outbound processes and recommend improvements to streamline operations.
Maintains accurate records of outbound shipments, tracking performance metrics, and prepares reports for management review.
Maintains open communication with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs and resolve any issues.
