We are looking for an Outbound Manager to join our team in our state-of-the-art distribution center. The Distribution Center Outbound Manager is responsible for directing the daily outbound operations of the shipping/loading department within a distribution center.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 6+ years’ previous management experience, preferably in a distribution center environment.
  • Excellent leadership ability with a focus on customer service and teamwork.
  • Strong computer skills with previous experience working with TMS and WMS.
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Analytical with the ability to plan staffing levels to workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees picking, loading, and shipping to ensure accuracy and timely delivery; continuously monitors workflow for optimization.
  • Utilizes TMS to create outbound loads in preparation for items being picked.
  • Utilizes WMS to create wave releases of items to be picked by warehouse associates.
  • Effectively execute order demands, replenishment demands and branch replenishments through warehouse transfers systematically.
  • Leads a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards along with meeting productivity requirements.
  • Ensures orders are picked and sorted correctly, shipments are accurately labeled, and products are loaded and secured to prevent damage during transit.
  • Enforces safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for employees and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identifies inefficiencies in outbound processes and recommend improvements to streamline operations.
  • Maintains accurate records of outbound shipments, tracking performance metrics, and prepares reports for management review.
  • Maintains open communication with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs and resolve any issues.
  • Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
