About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS Electrical division is currently seeking a Distribution Center Operations Manager. The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $ 130,000 a year. What you’ll do: Eaton’s Power Quality division is seeking a Production Manager to join our team. This position is based in Raleigh, NC at our Capital Boulevard Operations Distribution Center. Primary Function: DC Operations Manager you will directly manage the supervisors of the CPO Distribution Center as well as the shipping & receiving department and have overall responsibility for the full scope of operations. You will plan, coordinate, supervise and motivate the activities of all assigned employees as well as the utilization of employees assigned to peer lines to meet or exceed safety, quality, delivery, cost and efficiency goals while assisting the Site Operations Manager in implementing plant wide initiatives. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • 3 years professional experience in DISTRIBUTION WAREHOUSING environment.
  • Minimum 2+year experience managing others

Nice To Haves

  • 3+year experience managing others.
  • Previous experience in electronic product manufacturing preferably within a Global Corporation.
  • Exposure and knowledge of lean manufacturing processes and tooling requirements.
  • Lean Manufacturing certification.
  • MRP/ ERP- SAP experience.
  • Effective people management skills and the ability to manage and prioritize several concurrent projects.
  • Effective English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully interface with all organizational levels & departments.
  • Good understanding and positive support of standard personnel and administrative policies,

Responsibilities

  • You will be the lead in driving plant wide continuous improvement initiatives as developed through EBS pull and determined through PQ wide Key Projects.
  • You will develop and lead the scorecard execution for the full distribution center as required for the balanced scorecard review.
  • You will develop and implement the Continuous Improvement Framework for CPO and take on additional supporting roles as executed
  • You will create and execute a tracking system for all hourly employees.
  • You will lead current and future strategic projects, such as Flagship, Prime, Orion, and CSB-Intrpak.
  • You will be an integral part of the PQ operations leadership and will be part of strategic planning for the division.
  • You will provide direct supervision for 2 supervisors and the indirect employees in the shipping department.
  • You will participate in employment and staffing decisions, performance management decisions.
  • You will maintain departmental personnel records and reports on productivity, quality, attendance and all departmental, work, vacation, overtime and related schedules.
  • You will develop and implement schedules for your team and assist the supervisors in creating manpower requirements to meet or exceed production plan for the full hourly staff.
  • You will monitor plant wide productivity to ensure that established quality and production levels are maintained or exceeded.
  • You will engage direct reports in manufacturing LEAN initiatives including but not limited to operator standard work, 5S, pull systems, empowered work teams, and structured problem solving.
  • You will provide coaching, motivation, and counseling to supervisors and direct reports to encourage optimum performance and continued skill development.
  • You will implement and support behavioral based zero incident safety culture and foster an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement.
