About The Position

The Market Delivery Operations (MDO) Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of a cross-dock distribution center, ensuring that customer service and financial goals are met. This role involves leading a team of 20-40 associates in the daily processes of receiving, staging, and delivering customer orders, while also collaborating with the transportation team to optimize resources and enhance delivery efficiency. The manager is tasked with fostering a positive work environment and maintaining high performance standards to meet customer needs.

Requirements

• Must be eighteen years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's Degree concentrating in Operations Management, Business or Supply Chain.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel software applications.
• Previous change management experience.
• Experience providing direct customer service.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and be on-call at various times, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Manage the workflow for the MDO operation and related transportation or warehouse related systems, leveraging WIP metrics to stay on plan or identify issues.
• Manage building and operating conditions to ensure a clean, safe, and positive associate environment.
• Monitor the MDO building level scorecard, financials, and safety metrics, identifying recommendations for improvement or addressing potential issues.
• Oversee exception handling for deliveries, interfacing with customers or Home Depot departments to resolve identified issues.
• Manage all inbound and outbound loads to ensure performance meets expectations.
