The Distribution Center Loader is responsible for operating forklifts to efficiently load and unload products in a warehouse environment, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards. This role involves accurately documenting product movements, assisting truck drivers, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace while meeting departmental goals.

  • Operate forklifts per OSHA requirements to distribute product to customers per orders.
  • Unload trailers of product and place them in correct locations in the warehouse.
  • Take product from the Sealing Line and place it in the correct location in the warehouse.
  • Complete trailer inspection reports for all assigned loads per plant sanitation standards.
  • Perform daily inspections of PIT equipment and ensure safety protocols are followed.
  • Accurately complete all assigned load sheets using barcode scanners.
  • Ensure all products pulled have appropriate labels before loading into trailers.
  • Stack cases in trailers according to configuration requirements and ensure trailers are full.
  • Document all product pulled, including bay locations, and loaded onto trailers.
  • Notify Warehouse Manager/Assistant of any damaged cases.
  • Perform Bay Consolidations to reorganize similar products and restack leaning or falling products.
  • Participate in the Annual Physical Inventory Process.
  • Assist truck drivers with trailer location and paperwork pickup.
  • Maintain housekeeping functions to keep the warehouse organized.
  • Meet daily departmental goals assigned by Supervisor or Management.
  • Operate forklifts safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Load and unload various size trailers while meeting departmental goals.
  • Perform daily condition checks on forklifts and report any issues.
  • Operating a forklift or other material handling equipment is considered a 'Safety Sensitive' function.
  • Must have a Powered Industrial Truck Certificate (in-house training and licensing).
