About The Position

The Warehouse Janitor will maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse, grounds, offices, and equipment. This position is essential for ensuring a clean and safe working environment, contributing to the overall mission of Goodwill.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• A minimum of one year of related experience in cleaning.
• Experience in working in a warehouse preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs janitorial services including but not limited to: cleaning floors, windows, picking up and disposing of trash, dusting furniture, cleaning and stocking bathroom, vacuuming offices, sweeping various areas, and cleaning carpets when needed.
• Maintains an inventory of cleaning supplies.
• Gathers and empties trash.
• Understands the use of Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Politely answers customer questions.
• Dusts furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Follows procedures for the use of cleaners and equipment, in order to maintain safety in the warehouse.
• Notifies manager concerning the need for repairs or additions to the warehouse.
• On a weekly basis, notifies management of additional supplies or equipment that are needed for cleaning and maintenance duties.
• Sweeps and picks up trash from the parking lot and perimeter of the facility.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
