About The Position

The Inventory Coach at NIKE, Inc. is responsible for ensuring compliance with inventory policies and managing a team that implements cycle counts and resolves exceptions in the North America Supply Chain's distribution facilities. This role focuses on improving inventory accuracy, reducing adjustments and shrinkage, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or a related field.
• At least 3 years of management experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
• 3 plus years of experience leading employees.
• Solid understanding of automated distribution systems and departmental budgets.
• PC skills required, experience with Excel, Word, SAP, DCMS, and Kronos is a plus.
• Project management skills preferred.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to foster a diverse workforce.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Drive compliance with internal and external financial accounting inventory policies.
• Lead the team responsible for physical inventory cycle counts and recounts to maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Coordinate the cycle count plan to ensure compliance with required count frequency and accuracy.
• Supervise and report policy metrics internally and externally.
• Manage, mentor, develop, and advise team members.
• Correct inventory discrepancies via cycle counts and inventory adjustments.
• Support cross-functional team assessments of unit adjustments and root causes.
• Assist Inventory Accounting and external Auditors to ensure efficient processes and controls are operating optimally.
• Work on special projects as assigned.
