About The Position

Auto-Wares is seeking a hands-on, results-driven Distribution Center General Manager to lead operations, people, and performance at one of our high-volume distribution centers. This leader ensures exceptional service to our customers, operational excellence, and a culture that reflects our purpose, vision, and values.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Lead Daily Operations
  • Oversee all warehouse functions: receiving, put-away, picking, shipping, returns, dock, pickup/express, and route support.
  • Ensure orders ship accurately and on time through effective planning and resource allocation.
  • Drive productivity, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement using data metrics.
  • Develop and Lead a High-Performing Team
  • Recruit, hire, train, and coach team members and leaders.
  • Build bench strength and ensure consistent execution of standard work.
  • Conduct performance reviews and create development plans.
  • Own Safety, Compliance & Facility Standards
  • Enforce operational, safety, and personnel policies.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, secure facility and review security plans annually.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Manage Financial & Business Performance
  • Develop and manage the DC budget with the VP of Distribution.
  • Review financial and operational metrics; take corrective action when needed.
  • Recommend facility improvements, equipment, and resource needs.
  • Deliver Outstanding Customer Service
  • Ensure timely, accurate order fulfillment and route performance.
  • Resolve customer issues quickly and drive root-cause solutions.
  • Maintain strong communication with Warehouse Managers, Shift Managers, and Distribution leadership
