About The Position

Auto-Wares is seeking a hands-on, results-driven Distribution Center General Manager to lead operations, people, and performance at one of our high-volume distribution centers. This leader ensures exceptional service to our customers, operational excellence, and a culture that reflects our purpose, vision, and values.

Responsibilities

Lead Daily Operations
Oversee all warehouse functions: receiving, put-away, picking, shipping, returns, dock, pickup/express, and route support.
Ensure orders ship accurately and on time through effective planning and resource allocation.
Drive productivity, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement using data metrics.
Develop and Lead a High-Performing Team
Recruit, hire, train, and coach team members and leaders.
Build bench strength and ensure consistent execution of standard work.
Conduct performance reviews and create development plans.
Own Safety, Compliance & Facility Standards
Enforce operational, safety, and personnel policies.
Maintain a clean, safe, secure facility and review security plans annually.
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
Manage Financial & Business Performance
Develop and manage the DC budget with the VP of Distribution.
Review financial and operational metrics; take corrective action when needed.
Recommend facility improvements, equipment, and resource needs.
Deliver Outstanding Customer Service
Ensure timely, accurate order fulfillment and route performance.
Resolve customer issues quickly and drive root-cause solutions.
Maintain strong communication with Warehouse Managers, Shift Managers, and Distribution leadership
