The Fulfillment General Manager at Safelite Group is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a large fulfillment site or distribution center. This role is pivotal in driving accountability through strategic leadership and effective talent management, fostering a positive and engaged workforce. The General Manager will demonstrate an influential presence and adaptability to lead through change and innovation, ensuring that the site operates efficiently and meets its goals. In this position, the General Manager will lead the vision and purpose of the site by nurturing high-performing leaders and aligning team efforts with the overall goals of the site. This includes developing leadership capabilities through skill assessments, real-time coaching, and crafting developmental plans for team members. The role also emphasizes cultivating a safe and supportive workplace that engages both associates and leaders, driving accountability by executing business plans that align with stakeholder and customer needs, and fostering a culture of performance. The General Manager will leverage data to enhance productivity, optimize inventory management, and minimize part breakage. Collaboration with stakeholders is essential to enhance processes and ensure exceptional partnerships. Additionally, the role involves overseeing the site’s profit and loss (P&L) to steer towards financial goals while communicating progress, risks, and opportunities effectively. Leading change management initiatives is also a key responsibility, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption to operations. Resource planning and allocation will be critical to meet operational demands, and the General Manager will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA, CDL, DOT, and MHE. Identifying and resolving health and safety risks while providing coaching on best practices will be part of the daily responsibilities.
