Distribution Center (DC) Maintenance Technician
About The Position
At Academy Sports + Outdoors, our purpose is to make it easier for everyone to enjoy more sports and outdoors. The Distribution Center Maintenance Technician is responsible for the entire facility with focus on maintenance of standard operating procedures, scheduled inspections, and troubleshooting various material handling systems and equipment. Through this important work, the Maintenance Technician II supports the Distribution Center in achieving Academy’s purpose. Requirements
- Must have a “Safety First” mentality
- Inventory management, data entry, and basic computer skills required
- Good communication, organizational, time management and mathematical skill
- Able to multi-task and work independently
- Ability to anticipate and make decisions under pressure
- Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks
Nice To Haves
- 1+ years of general maintenance, or related work experience, preferred
- Previous warehouse experience preferred
- Conveyor system experience preferred
- Current forklift certification preferred
