About The Position

NAPA Auto Parts is seeking a skilled and energetic Clerk to join their growing team. This role involves performing a variety of functions including inbound, outbound, UPS, Core Processing, Returns, and RGN’s. Clerks are responsible for ensuring that all documents and functions are completed accurately and in a timely manner. The position may also involve communication with customers and vendors as needed. Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 60 pounds and push or pull loads up to 300 pounds using mechanical aids
  • Physical ability to bend, twist, squat, climb, and reach, including use of ladders when required
  • Good judgment and strong decision-making skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Basic math skills
  • Experience with computers and RF scanning equipment
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends as needed
  • Capable and willing to operate warehouse equipment

  • Capacity to bend, stoop, squat, and reach to retrieve items from shelves, bins, or storage racks
  • Capacity to work at heights to include open floor mezzanines and follow safety protocols for ladder use
  • Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers
  • Ability to use hands and fingers to handle small objects, operate machinery controls, and perform tasks requiring precision and accuracy
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks, such as scanning barcodes, sorting items, or packaging products, throughout the shift
  • Stamina and endurance to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity targets
  • Commitment to following safety protocols and guidelines to prevent workplace accidents and injuries

  • Prior experience in shipping or receiving is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Schedule inbound freight to align with warehouse operations and capacity
  • Verify receiving counts match packing lists and purchase orders
  • Collect all necessary documentation for inbound freight and route appropriately
  • Assist with Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN) verifications
  • Schedule outbound freight according to warehouse operations and capacity
  • Ensure proper application of labels and tickets before shipments are dispatched
  • Maintain security procedures at dock doors
  • Ensure all shipping documentation is completed timely and accurately
  • Print shipping labels, securely overpack products, and ensure proper sorting and routing of packages for UPS Shipments
  • Unload and stage core returns/defective cores
  • Sort and scan cores
  • Complete all paperwork associated with core return procedures
  • Process all returns of classified merchandise to the DC by checking shipments for accuracy
  • Complete all paperwork related to class returns and restock parts in designated areas
  • Prepare and ship back all labor claims by checking DC stock, receiving for jobbers, accumulating and creating claims & shipping back to vendor all recall merchandise
  • Answer questions from stores regarding warranties, rejections, repairs & returns & labor claims
  • Create claims for, and ship back claims to vendors for chemical defectives
  • Ensure shipments are accurate and free from damage
  • Report any quality variances promptly
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment
  • Support and comply with the company’s safety programs, policies, and initiatives
  • Proactively identify and resolve problems during daily warehouse operations
  • Meet or exceed production goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned by leadership
