The role of a Warehouse Associate involves operating production equipment such as a Rim Drive or a Re-spooler to cut wire to predetermined lengths, and performing other standard order fulfillment tasks.

Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Minimum of 18 years of age
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic math skills
  • A high energy, dependable teamwork attitude
  • Effective communication skills
  • Willingness to occasionally work overtime or weekends for additional compensation
  • Ability to bend, twist, lift up to 50 lbs. and stand up to 8 hours a day
  • Required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Responsibilities

  • Operating production equipment, either a Rim Drive or a Re-spooler that assists in cutting wire to a predetermined length
  • Performing other standard order fulfillment tasks
  • Operating a forklift/order picker for pulling and putting away stock, order processing, loading and unloading trailers (Material Handling Equipment (MHE))
  • Inspecting inbound stock for quality, count, and type (Receiving)
  • Ensuring purchase order, packing slip and bill of lading for receipt accuracy (Receiving)
  • Processing stock through computer entry while preparing inventory for put-away (Receiving)
  • Selecting shipping method based on best practices to meet company requirements and customer expectations (Shipping)
  • Preparing orders for both LTL and small parcel shipment (Shipping)
  • Verifying shipments are packed properly and accurately to ensure customer satisfaction (Shipping)
  • Operating different value adding wire machinery within the DC for order fulfillment (Value-Add services)
  • Following safety standards for the specific job including filling out required equipment checklists (General Housekeeping & Equipment Maintenance)
  • Keeping Distribution Center clean and organized (General Housekeeping & Equipment Maintenance)
  • Following strict adherence to 5S Standards of the work area (General Housekeeping & Equipment Maintenance)
