Job Summary: Responsible for accurately and efficiently selecting and preparing orders for shipment.

Requirements

  • Being physically fit and able to lift heavy items or packages, often weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
  • Standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods during the shift.
  • Must be able to operate equipment (96” pallet jacks, forklift, etc.).
  • Familiarity with DC equipment and operations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and physically demanding environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Using voice pick and/or handheld scanner to select the correct items in the requested quantities from designated storage areas in the DC.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of selected items by verifying product codes, locations, descriptions, and quantities.
  • Identify damaged or defective items and report them to supervisors.
  • Properly packaging selected items, crates, or containers and affixing correct labels and shipping documents to each package.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records by updating the system with quantities picked and ensuring proper stock rotation.
  • Adhering to all safety guidelines, procedures, and protocols to maintain a safe working environment. This includes wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, operating equipment safely, and reporting any safety hazards or incidents.
  • Performing routine maintenance checks on equipment and reporting any malfunctions or damage to maintenance personnel.
  • Working closely with other order selectors, supervisors, and other warehouse staff to meet daily shipping deadlines and maintain productivity.
  • Other duties as assigned.
