The Distribution Center Assistant Manager assists the Distribution Center Manager in the operations of the entire distribution network. This position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and supervise employees. Other requirements of this position include strong communication skills, emphasis on detail, quality control, and inventory management. As a Murdoch's Team Member in this role, you will achieve excellent operations and management, protect company assets, motivate and train staff, maintain warehouse and safety, load and unload the freight, count and sign for freight indicating any discrepancies or damage, dispatch truck fleet for weekly store deliveries and merchandise pick-ups, and order and manage inventory levels of certain office supplies and merchandise. You will also communicate with stores, fellow employees, vendors, and management.
