About The Position

The position involves working in a distribution warehouse where the primary responsibilities include loading, unloading, and moving materials using various equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, and pallet jacks. The role requires effective communication with management and co-workers to ensure the smooth operation of warehouse activities, including shipping and receiving products. Safety compliance and adherence to lean enterprise principles are also critical components of the job.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Must be able to learn Milbank’s shipping systems, M2K and C2K.
• Experience with UPS World Ship is a plus.
• Must be a certified forklift operator.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload or otherwise move material in and around the distribution warehouse using a forklift, order picker, pallet jack or hand truck.
• Stack and/or palletize or otherwise prepare product for storage or shipment.
• Weigh and/or physically count to determine quantity received, shipped or otherwise used in movement of product in distribution center.
• Communicate with management to receive daily workload and assignments.
• Communicate with co-workers to complete all warehouse activities throughout the workday.
• Comply with all safety standards and use all safety equipment in the warehouse.
• Establish and utilize frameworks and systems, including tools such as visual management, problem solving, standard work and kaizen.
• Cooperate and commit in a team environment to achieve goals and deliverables.
• Resolve difficult or complicated challenges using the problem-solving process.
