The Distribution Associate at Catalent Pharma Solutions in San Diego plays a crucial role in supporting the pharmaceutical industry by managing the distribution of clinical trial materials. This position involves various distribution support activities, including coordination, receipt, and storage of materials, while adhering to established protocols and safety guidelines. The role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Use JD Edwards/MEP ERP software to pick, pack, and verify shipments in various conditions.
  • Perform final verification at pack out and label orders appropriately.
  • Pick and stage materials for packaging, conduct cycle counts, and perform location checks.
  • Manage inventory for production staging and distribution, including receiving materials and entering data into inventory systems.
  • Provide inventory-related support for other departments and perform inventory transfers using controlled forms.
  • Safely operate warehouse equipment such as electric forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Restock shipping and warehouse supplies and maintain general housekeeping of the warehouse area.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in warehousing, distribution, or a similar role within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry is highly preferred.
  • Previous certification using Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) equipment is preferred.
  • Experience in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) is highly preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Proactive with superior time management and organizational skills.
