About The Position

The Distribution Associate 2 – 1st shift role at MilliporeSigma in Milwaukee, WI plays a critical role in the fulfillment of customer orders through the activities of receiving, picking, packing, and shipping of life science materials. Job duties include: Shift Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm Load and unload freight Operate equipment to produce documents for workload Locate, move, deliver, or return all materials to proper areas Prepare materials for shipment Accurately document all movement of materials Audit inventory locations to maintain inventory and location accuracy Verifies chemicals, catalog number, lot number, special requests information, unit size and weights against order documentation found in packing instructions Prints and applies all required labels and markings to box to comply with hazardous materials regulations Condenses, straightens, and maintains warehouse areas Works with team leads and supervisors to troubleshoot systems issues Reports unsafe or potentially unsafe hazards to team leads or any member of management Miscellaneous duties and tasks assigned Physical Attributes: May involve standing for long periods of time, operating powered industrial equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • May involve standing for long periods of time, operating powered industrial equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Must follow all good distribution practices (GDP), where applicable.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of fulfillment, customer service, or warehousing experience
  • Strong professional communication skills to interact with all levels of staff, both orally and written
  • Ability to work quickly and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with computers, scanners, printers, and shipping equipment
