About The Position

The Distribution Associate 2 – AM Shift role at MilliporeSigma in Milwaukee, WI plays a critical role in the fulfillment of customer orders through the activities of receiving, picking, packing, and shipping of life science materials. Job duties include: Shift Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:00pm

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• May involve standing for long periods of time, operating powered industrial equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years of fulfillment, customer service, or warehousing experience
• Oral and written communication skills to interact with all levels of staff
• Experience in a fast-paced environment and adjusting to changing priorities in the environment
• Proficiency with computers, scanners, printers, and shipping equipment
• Experience following good distribution practices (GDP), where applicable

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight
• Operate equipment to produce documents for workload
• Locate, move, deliver, or return all materials to proper areas
• Prepare materials for shipment
• Accurately document all movement of materials
• Audit inventory locations to maintain inventory and location accuracy
• Verify chemicals, catalog number, lot number, special requests information, unit size and weights against order documentation found in packing instructions
• Print and apply all required labels and markings to box to comply with hazardous materials regulations
• Condense, straighten, and maintain warehouse areas
• Work with team leads and supervisors to troubleshoot system issues
• Report unsafe or potentially unsafe hazards to team leads or any member of management
