About the position

The Distribution Associate 2 - 1st Shift role at MilliporeSigma is essential for fulfilling customer orders by managing the receiving, picking, packing, and shipping of life science materials. This position requires attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all materials are handled and documented accurately.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight
• Operate equipment to produce documents for workload
• Locate, move, deliver or return all materials to proper areas
• Prepare materials for shipment
• Accurately document all movement of materials
• Audit inventory locations to maintain inventory and location accuracy
• Verify chemicals, catalog number, lot number, special requests information, unit size and weights against order documentation found in packing instructions
• Print and apply all required labels and markings to box to comply with hazardous materials regulations
• Condense, straighten, and maintain warehouse areas
• Work with team leads and supervisors to troubleshoot systems issues
• Report unsafe or potentially unsafe hazards to team leads or any member of management
• Perform miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of fulfillment, customer service, or warehousing experience
• Strong professional communication skills to interact with all levels of staff, both orally and written
• Ability to work quickly and adjust to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with computers, scanners, printers, and shipping equipment
• Must follow all good distribution practices (GDP), where applicable.
