We own the product catalog system that defines every Netflix plan, offer, and promotion as a sellable SKU. Our microservices are directly involved in various member-flows like signup, plan change, upsells, offers, cancellations, renewals etc. We enable integrations for managing subscriptions via partner bundles and Apple iTunes/App Store while also enabling gift card redemptions. We also maintain rules to control plan availability, prices and play a central role in implementing price changes across the globe.
