The Distributed Computer Systems Analyst OPS position involves technical work focused on installing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting various computer systems for end-users. This role requires providing on-site support and assistance to users, ensuring seamless operation of hardware, software, and networking components. The position is critical for maintaining effective communication and support for both department and outside agency customers, with a strong emphasis on problem-solving and customer service.

  • Install, implement, maintain, and support computer systems for end-users.
  • Provide desktop computer technical support to both Department and outside agency customers.
  • Coordinate work assignments with appropriate Department staff and other desktop support staff.
  • Perform follow-ups with customers to ensure efficient handling of requests and quality solutions.
  • Maintain all assigned issues within the Department's Issue Tracking System.
  • Provide assistance for Voice Over IP (VOIP) phones and LAN/WAN connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Support client hardware/software upgrades and migrations as directed by the Desktop Support Manager.
  • Consult with regional and outside agency customers to assess system needs and requirements.
  • Experience working in an IT environment in a support capacity.
  • Experience supporting Windows 10 or newer operating systems and compatible applications.
  • Technical understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking systems.
  • Valid Driver's License and operational private vehicle for work activities.
  • Ability to work outside normal business hours.
  • Ability to navigate tight spaces and perform physical tasks such as kneeling, crawling, and lifting 30 pounds.
  • Experience in customer call documentation and tracking systems.
  • Experience supporting VoIP products.
  • Experience in an Information Technology Support environment.
  • College or trade school education in Information Technology.
  • Experience managing mobile devices in a mobile device management environment.
  • Experience using remote control applications.
