This is an open fulltime Select Exempt Service (SES) Distributed Computer Systems Analyst II (I.T. Manager) position at the Department of Health in Lee County. This position manages the operations of the Information Technology Department for the Department of Health in Lee County. This position is under the direct supervision of the manager of Administrative Services, class title Administrative Service Director II - SES. This position participates in the department's strategic management process which includes the planning, implementation, and allocation of the Information Technology program resources - financial (budget), staffing, materials, supplies, and equipment. This position spends more than 50% of the time engaged in supervisory responsibilities. This includes communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees in addition to planning and directing employees' work. The incumbent has the authority to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline subordinate employees or effectively recommend such action. The incumbent will also be required to develop performance expectations, meet with staff regularly to discuss performance, complete performance reviews, maintain vacation and work schedules, ensuring proper coverage, and complete timesheets. This position is the DOH-Lee IT Disaster Recovery Coordinator and is responsible for planning and directing the detailed information technology activities before, during, and after a disaster.
