About The Position

The Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs (FDVA) seeks to hire talented and dedicated individuals who share our commitment to excellence. The incumbent in this position serves as the Distributed Computer Systems Analyst II with a discipline in infrastructure for the Agency and reports to the Data Center Director - SES.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline.
• 5 Years’ current paid configuration experience of circuits, firewalls, routers, and switches.
• 5 Years’ current paid configuration experience BGP, OSPF, VRFs, VoIP, VOD, and WiFi.
• 5 Years’ current paid technical project management experience.
• Possess and maintain current driver’s license and can travel within the state of Florida.
• Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs. of equipment.

Nice To Haves

• 5 years’ current paid experience enforcing security best practices, data governance, and ITIL framework.
• Current PMP certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage FDVA Cloud and Enterprise systems at an overall uptime rates consistent with established norms.
• Prepare, distribute, and maintain plans, instructions, guidance, and standard operating procedures concerning infrastructure operations; i.e., PaaS, SaaS, Transport, VoIP, VOD, VSaaS, etc.
• Project manager of information technology projects including Cloud design, network engineering, SaaS integrations, telephony, and web development.
• Practice agile project management principles, review and approve all change management requests, and be responsible for all infrastructure projects.
• Ensure adherence of RPO/RTO and COOP regarding technology for the FDVA.
