It performs comprehensive implementation reviews, sets technical direction, and develops components to enhance Walmart’s AI security posture. Utilizing expertise in development, security technologies, and analytics, the team delivers resilient solutions that strengthen system infrastructure. Collaboration drives innovation in automation and cyber engineering, ensuring secure and efficient operations. Requirements

• Extensive experience in systems engineering and IT infrastructure with a strong focus on infrastructure security and security engineering principles.
• Proficiency in designing scalable, distributed systems incorporating security standards, frameworks, and methodologies.
• Expertise in developing and implementing system security plans, risk assessments, and compliance reviews.
• Skilled in scripting and automation to streamline infrastructure processes and enhance security controls.
• Ability to analyze business requirements and translate them into architectural and technical solutions across multiple systems.
• Knowledge of configuration, capacity, and infrastructure maintenance management to ensure optimal system performance.
• Strong understanding of application security and domain-specific security practices within large-scale environments.
• Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area and 6years’ experience in systems and infrastructure engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
• Option 2: 8 years’ experience in systems and infrastructure engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in Security+, GISF, CISSP, CCSP, or GSEC
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related area and 4 years’ experience leading information security or cybersecurity projects

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, secure infrastructure solutions aligned with business and security requirements.
• Define architectural specifications and standards for complex systems within the security domain.
• Lead automation initiatives using scripting to enhance infrastructure efficiency and security controls.
• Oversee infrastructure maintenance, ensuring timely updates, patching, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Conduct security risk assessments and implement compliance frameworks to safeguard IT environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate system performance and recommend improvements.
• Drive capacity planning and resource allocation to support evolving business needs.
• Guide coding and telemetry implementation to ensure secure, maintainable software solutions.

• The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $260,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
