Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience as a Distinguished Architect or similar role, with a strong background in software development and architecture.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with capabilities such as Identity, Electronic Master Patient Index (EMPI), Consent management, Identity Assurance, and Messaging.
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable, distributed, and high-performance software solutions.
  • Familiarity with architectural patterns, frameworks, and best practices, including microservices, event-driven architecture, and DevOps.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of effectively conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Robust leadership and team management skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in Agile development methodologies and practices.
  • Proven ability to work within the healthcare sector, understanding compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with modern identity and privacy frameworks, ensuring reliable and secure handling of sensitive data.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to comprehend their requirements, objectives, and constraints in order to develop technical solutions that align with business and technology strategies.
  • Design and document technical architecture, ensuring it meets both functional and non-functional project requirements.
  • Evaluate, manage, contribute to, and execute various proofs of concept (POCs) to select appropriate technology platforms, frameworks, and tools supporting the implementation of technical solutions.
  • Create and present architectural designs, prototypes, and technical roadmaps to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Identify, validate, and recommend new technologies and patterns for organizational improvement.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural principles, operational excellence, coding standards, and best practices.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks, anticipate potential challenges, and propose contingency plans.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to ensure the solution is scalable, reliable, secure, and performant.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, evaluating their potential impact on the organization's technical architecture.
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of third-party vendors and technologies, ensuring compatibility with existing systems and architectural guidelines.
