Join our elite engineering team at RUCKUS to lead the architecture and development of our next-generation Cloud and Edge Networking Platform. We are building a converged network-as-a-service platform that combines high-throughput, low-latency network services with a cloud-native management plane powered by AI/ML. As a Distinguished Software Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the foundation of a platform designed to scale globally, simplify operations, and deliver exceptional user experiences across both wired and wireless infrastructures. You'll be at the intersection of cloud-native technologies, distributed systems, and networking. We are looking for an ideal candidate who is passionate about building performant systems that operate at global scale with millions of users and devices.

  • Design and build scalable, high-performance systems, including Cloud-Native Functions (CNFs), Virtual Network Functions (VNFs), and microservices that power our SmartEdge and cloud management platforms.
  • Drive the evolution of our edge networking stack, including control and data planes, routing, security, and traffic optimization.
  • Leverage containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) to deploy resilient, cloud-native services across AWS, GCP, Azure, and OpenStack environments.
  • Partner with product and business teams to translate vision into actionable, scalable architecture and elegant solutions.
  • Serve as a technical leader and mentor, championing engineering best practices, clean architecture, and performance optimization across teams.
  • Master's or Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 15+ years in software engineering with a strong track record of delivering cloud-native, low-latency, distributed systems at scale.
  • Proficiency in C, C++, Python, Go.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS/GCP/Azure, OpenStack.
  • Deep expertise in IP networking, routing protocols, Linux-based systems, network security, and traffic control.
  • Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, Memcached, REST APIs, Elastic Search.
  • Experience with Snowflake or similar data platforms.
  • Prior experience in startup or high-growth environments.
