About The Position

The Distinguished Engineer role at GEICO MarTech and Adsanization focuses on building high-scale, high-performance platforms to drive the transformation of the insurance business. Requirements

• Fluency and specialization with Java, React, and GraphQL.
• Experience building products with micro-services oriented architecture and extensible REST APIs.
• Experience with AI and ML technologies including MLflow, PyTorch, and VectorDBs.
• Experience in architecture and design of new and existing systems, including design patterns and reliability.
• Experience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code.
• Fluency in DevOps concepts, cloud architecture, and Azure DevOps operational framework.
• Experience with Azure Portal and application monitoring tools.
• In-depth knowledge of data structures and algorithms in computer science.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
• Track record of publications in credible conferences and journals.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AWS, GCP, or other cloud services.
• Experience in open-source frameworks.
• Knowledge of developer tooling across the software development life cycle.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to the MarTech and Adsanization areas.
• Collaborate with product managers, team members, customers, and other engineering teams to solve complex problems.
• Develop and execute technical software development strategies across various domains.
• Ensure the quality, usability, and performance of solutions.
• Utilize programming languages such as Java, React, GraphQL, Python, SQL, and NoSQL databases, along with container orchestration services like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Mentor and coach engineering and product community members to strengthen technical expertise.
• Influence and educate leadership at all levels regarding technical strategies.
• Implement best practices and improve processes within and across teams.
• Analyze costs and forecasts, incorporating them into business plans.
• Support resource requirements and evaluate operational processes to ensure desired outcomes.
