About The Position

Become a part of our caring community and help us put health first The Dispensing Pharmacist is a registered Pharmacist who is responsible for the accurate and timely dispensing of prescribed medications to patients. The Dispensing Pharmacist's work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action. Earn a $5,000 hiring bonus! Bonus is paid after 180 days of employment; you must be employed until that date to be eligible to receive the payment. Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00AM to 4:30 PM with a scheduled off-day. Requirements

• Bachelors of Pharmacy or PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy
• Licensed as a Pharmacist in Ohio
• Ability to participate in Federal prescription programs.
• Self-directed, but also able to work well in a group.
• Ability to solve problems and encourage others in collaborative problem solving.
• Work ethic that is focused, accurate, and highly productive.
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient with computers

Nice To Haves

• 3+ years' experience in a high-volume community or mail order pharmacy practice environment
• Experience in a high volume mail order and/or retail setting

Responsibilities

• Participate in preparation of prescriptions via a highly automated system
• Verify for completeness and accuracy all new and refill labels and orders including new and refill Braille and Talking Vial orders
• Verify for content and accuracy all drug packaging and labeling
• Partner with fellow healthcare team members
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements within pharmacy
• Research medication issues, ensure accurate resolution, and provide guidance to team members and member clients when needed
• Other duties as assigned by management
