About The Position

The Dispensary Manager at Vireo Health is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the dispensary, ensuring compliance with company policies and state regulations. This role involves managing staff, inventory, and customer service while promoting a positive and compassionate environment. The manager will work closely with the District Manager to implement operational strategies and enhance sales performance.

Requirements

  • Excellent computer and technical skills, including experience with web browsers, retail POS systems, and credit card processing terminals.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and coordinate with IT and technical support to correct them.
  • High-level critical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable handling high-volume cash.
  • Ability to individually lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to work in a retail environment with moderate to loud noise level.
  • Flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays, averaging 40 hours per week.
  • Willingness to work additional hours as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a friendly, courteous, and compassionate demeanor at all times.
  • Coordinate with the Dispensary District Manager in performing all day-to-day operations according to Vireo Health mission statements.
  • Interface with vendors to coordinate purchase, delivery, and transfer of marijuana products, retail products, equipment, and supplies.
  • Perform tracking functions to account for inventory, ordering, accounts payable, logistics and deliveries, and sales.
  • Monitor all transactions and cash within the retail store, including preparing bank deposits, counting drawers and safe, making change for registers, and performing record keeping duties related to all cash handling as necessary.
  • Monitor and maintain all tech and building services to ensure the shop runs smoothly, including knowledge of security systems, POS systems, BioTrack, and the facility structure.
  • Maintain knowledge of all strains of cannabis, edibles, concentrates, pre-rolls, and accessories for sale in the dispensary and share new product information with staff.
  • Ensure staff is educated on terpenes and cannabinoids and their effects on the body's endocannabinoid system.
  • Retain thorough knowledge of guest services, patient benefits, potency, sales, discounts and promotions, product pricing, HIPAA compliance, and all functions of operations.
  • Monitor overall retail sales and create effective solutions to increase sales, including creation, implementation, and evaluation of promotions, discounts, and guest benefits.
  • Responsible for inventory control and auditing, performing all receiving, transferring, reporting, reconciling, and inventory management functions within BioTrack daily.
  • Provide training, education, coaching, and guidance to all staff, acting as a leader and resource for information.
  • Perform inventory management of marijuana products, accessories, and apparel, merchandising, rotating, and displaying items according to Red Barn brand aesthetics.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of store, retail storage areas, office and store supplies, and any production areas of the facility.
  • Oversee the stocking of retail items and supplies, and sanitization of all areas, including restrooms.
  • Oversee the quality and rotation of product.
  • Actively listen, establish rapport with staff and guests, resolve conflicts, and build relationships with staff, management, and guests.
  • Lead and inspire staff to work as part of a team to ensure sales, guest satisfaction, and compliance goals are met by designated timelines.
  • Attend all meetings as scheduled.
  • Increase sales and profitability by ensuring efficient operations, utilizing cost-saving measures, increasing productivity, and limiting discretionary spending.
  • Oversee team performance and the development, recruiting, training, and retention of high-caliber employees, grooming staff for internal promotions and increased responsibility.
  • Create and publish employee schedules and follow all time-keeping policies.
  • Attend regular weekly meetings with management to discuss weekly sales goals, sales plans, and other housekeeping items.
  • Exercise tact and professionalism when problem-solving and resolving conflicts.
  • Fulfill job duties of any position as needed to compensate for staffing shortages, meal or break times, higher than normal sales volume, or to support general operations.
