About The Position

The Budtender role involves performing essential store opening and closing procedures, ensuring a clean and organized environment for patients. The position requires creating a welcoming atmosphere that prioritizes patient interactions and satisfaction. Budtenders will check in, verify, and create new patient profiles, while also communicating important information regarding patients' allotments and MMJ licensing status. Maintaining confidentiality and controlling patient traffic are crucial aspects of this role. Additionally, Budtenders will educate patients about available products, assist in order creation, and inform them of current promotions. The role also includes handling payments at the POS and keeping up to date with company policies and products. Budtenders may occasionally assist with deliveries and are responsible for maintaining facility cleanliness and completing daily checklists. Physical demands include the ability to sit for long periods, as well as stand, squat, kneel, or bend, and lift up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform store opening and closing procedures such as cleaning and prepping workstations.
• Create an environment prioritizing patients and providing excellent patient interactions.
• Check in, verify, and/or create new patient profiles upon entry to the dispensary.
• Communicate to patients and caregivers their available allotments and MMJ licensing status.
• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with patient information and interactions.
• Control the pace of patient traffic within the dispensary.
• Educate and assist patients in creating orders based on physician recommendations.
• Inform patients of any current promotions or highlighted products.
• Create patient orders and accept payment at POS using the provided operating system.
• Keep up to date with company brands, products, policies, and procedures.
• Assist in occasional deliveries as scheduled and discussed ahead of time.
• Maintain facility cleanliness and complete daily checklists while on shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.
